Her Life

Clementine Nuwe Abunaw , 56, was born on May 10th,1958 to Agnes Ebenye Billa Willliams and Michael Akom Abunaw in Limbe, Cameroon. A devote christian who served the Lord tirelessly throughout her life, she returned to her maker on Ash Wednesday, March the 5th, 2014. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister (Agnes Aboh Abunaw). She will be laid to rest on March the 29th, 2014 at Citizen's Grave in New Town, Limbe.Clementine attended primary school at the Presbyterian Girls School, Down Beach, Limbe where she gained a reputation as a poised, articulate, diligent and hardworking child. Upon graduation she proceeded to N.H.S in Kumba, for her secondary school education and graduated with her Ordinary Levels Certificate.

After working for several years with the Labor Office in Limbe, she travelled to London, England to attend University from where she graduated with a Diploma in Administration. Upon her return to Cameroon in 1980, she took a position with Pecten Oil Company in Douala and after about ten years she elected to serve her country by joining the civil service in 1989 as the Chief of Staff to the Vice President of the National Assembly; a position she held until her retirement in 2011.

Always one to serve, Clementine was also an active member of her church in Yaoundé and served as a deaconess for several years. In 2010, she was ordained a minister and in 2013 became a senior pastor of her church. As a minister, Pastor Clementine devoted countless hours to helping the less fortunate and counseling numerous men, women and children.

As a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, minister or counselor, Clementine was greatly loved and adored by all who had the good fortune of knowing her because of her willingness to put everyone else needs ahead of her own.

She was a mother to many, Our fashionista, she taught us everything we know about class and elegance. She will say before you step out of the house, you have to Always, Always, Always be on Point! And boy she was always on point! I remember whenever she visited, she was full of life. She will have a Dance competition with all her nieces and nephews. They will try to catch up with her but they wouldn't get to her level, Funtime! Funtime!

Most of all, she enforced us to follow the path of the Lord.Pastor Clementine Nuwe Abunaw is survived by her two children: Besong Ebanga Manga (Barnes) and Roselyne Ebenye Abunaw (whom she named after her mother), a granddaughter, Michela Miracle Manga, a daughter-in-law ,step-mother, fourteen siblings and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, in-laws and other family, friends and well-wishers.

My darling sister you will be greatly MISSED!!!TILL WE MEET TO PART NOMORE, REST IN PEACE!

Abunaw Marie Ekambi on behalf of the family
