Apostoles Achilles Kotseos, 75, of Indian Land, SC, known as Paul to his friends and neighbors, joined his Heavenly Father in Nashville, TN on Friday, August 12, 2011.
Paul was born January 5, 1936, son of the late Gregory and Evanthia Kotseos. Paul grew up in Concord, NH and was a graduate of the University of New Hampshire, later receiving his masters from the University of Notre Dame. Paul was an avid downhill skier and a member of the US Olympic Ski Team. He was an All-American Lacrosse player and a high school football coach prior to starting his accomplished career with Ma Bell and later AT&T. Paul will forever be remembered for his kind heart, generosity, compassion, laughter, and zest for life. Paul enjoyed visiting the beach, attending Gator football games, dancing, reading, and spending time with his family.
A caring husband, father, grandfather and friend, he is survived by his wife of 38 years, Gloria; five children and spouses: Gregory and Hayes Kotseos of Cornelius, NC, Robert and Sara Kotseos of Hudson, OH, Drs. Kristina and Brian O'Shaughnessy of Nashville, TN, Tracy and Phil Higgins of San Diego, CA, Cindy and Daniel McNabb of Kingsport, TN; five grandchildren: Grayson and Chandler Kotseos, Kiley and Gabriella O'Shaughnessy, Daniel Wilson McNabb; one brother, John Kotseos of Concord, NH; four step-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A memorial celebration of his life will be held at Sun City Lakes Lake House, 1353 Del Webb Blvd, Fort Mill, SC, 29707 on Saturday, August 20th at 11AM. The service will begin at 12:30PM.
