Raymond Romero was a loving husband and father. In 2008 he enlisted in the United States Army. He married Virginia on July 18, 2009 and deployed to Iraq with 4/2 for a year from September 2009 to September 2010. A year after the deployment he and his wife had a beautiful baby girl, Charly.
Raymond had a natural talent of lighting up a room and making others laugh. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. He was profoundly devoted to his fellow soldiers. While away at JRTC where Raymond and his fellow soldiers were training for Iraq, he and a few of the soldiers were hospitalized due to the heat. Raymond tore his IV from his arm and went frantically searching for his comrades to make sure they were ok. He always cared for his brothers in arms.
His final wishes were to be cremated and have a service with military honors. Please help this young family through an incredibly difficult time. Instead of sending flowers, contributions to a proper military service to celebrate Raymond’s life have been requested.
