A private, immediate family only, cremation ceremony was held for Roland, in accordance with his last wishes. He closed his eyes and went into an eternal sleep on September 17, 2012. He had battled cancer for 10-12 years and was strong until the very end. His last wishes were to be remembered as last seen by his relatives and friends. Roland was born to Frank Riojas and Maria A Benavidez in Waco, TX on August 9th 1964. As a military dependant he was raised amongst Marines in several states and included living in Kenitra, Morrocco. He graduated from High School in Jacksonville, NC and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration while employed by American Express, Lastly with the Black Card Section. He was a Team Leader and during 18 years of employment, traveled all over the world, to include places such as Beijing China, Amsterdam, Australia, Paris, and many other beautiful places. He lived in Dallas, TX, Tampa FLA, and Atlanta GA, prior to being disabled and moving in with his parents in Arlington,TX, in July of this year. Survivors: He is survived by his parents, Frank Riojas and Maria A Benavidez of Waco, TX, his older sister Rhonda Cobb and her husband Joseph Cobb, and their two sons, nephews Mack and Trevor Cobb, of Wilmington NC; Also many uncles, Aunts, Cousins, and many wonderful friends. We would like to send a special Thank you to those friends and family who stood close by through the last few months, as it meant a lot to both him and his family. Most specifically our heartfelt gratitude goes out to dear friends in Atlanta such as Tim Day, his American Express team, his neighbors, and special thank you to Vitas in Arlington TX for all their support and efforts to help us all during this difficult time.
