Roy loved his family and friends and was generous to them. He loved baseball (a Tigers fan), made a mean pan of brownies, and loved being right. He liked to try new recipes in the crockpot, watching traffic go by in Newburg, and taking walks around the block. He served his country, was dedicated to his employer, and enjoyed golf and pool into his 70s.
He had to grind the beans to make good coffee and thought newspapers should be read first thing in the morning. The cream went in the coffee cup first - then he didn't have to stir.
He enjoyed being chauffered by his great-grandkids and would tell you Pontiacs were the best.
He played baseball on the local circuit (included Newburg, Roxbury, and Cleversburg fields) and sometimes they only had one baseball. He enjoyed the challenge of a tough crossword puzzle and read a lot of books on history.
We will miss him greatly ~ We honor his memory today.
