My Story

Scott Quiltel Crandall or as some called "Little Scott" was born on November 6th, 1988 to Scott Smith and Tanya Crandall, in Brooklyn, New York.

He spent his younger years in Brooklyn with his Mother and attended public school and graduated from P.S. 3 in 2001. Very briefly he attended JHS 78 in Brooklyn before transferring to Copiague Middle School in September 2001.

If there was a contest for most popular student for each grade Scott would have won each year from middle school throughout high school. For his senior year in High School he won best smile. He was loved by his classmates and adored by his teachers. He played football, lacrosse, and  he wrestled, earining a varsity letter in each of those sports.

Scott worked various jobs after high school and true to his nature often worked more than onae at a time. As with high school, he was also very popular at each place of employment: The Dominican Village, Public Storage, Target, and Dolphin Fitness where he worked overnight shift while attending school at Suffolk Communtiy College.

Despite some unfair and unjust situations Scott had to live through, he endured them with a very hopeful and optimistic outlook. He adjusted to the situation, embraced the penalties without qualm and humbly accepted the rewards of being a dutiful and loving son, brother, grandson, and friend to everyone.

He will probably be best remembered as a young man who had love and a taste for cars, motorcycles, fine clothes and good music that was far beyond his years. No one will ever forget his quiet respectful charm, and that bright handsome smile that would light up  a room. He always knew how to make you smile when you were down and always tried to help in anyway he possibly could.

Scott survived his mother Tanya, father Scott, Sisters Cyndii, Brianna, and Skyla. He also leaves behind his grandmothers Lillie Smith and Nereida Crandall, grandfather Edward Amith Sr., and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
