My Story

R.I.P Steven Lewis

Just 2 weeks away from his 16^th birthday Steven was attacked by a gang of youths at a charity event. He was found with several stab wounds to his chest and lay dying in the street embracing his older sister while his younger brother sadly looked on. Soon after he was taken to the Royal London Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly before midnight.

Two boys (16-17) were arrested on suspicion of murder in the early hours of Sunday and were being held at an east London police station.

Steven was discovered by officers after seeing a large group of youths in the street, but as the police approached them they fled the scene. He was found with multiple chest wounds and is mournfully the first teenager in the capital to die in a knife attack this year. Last year more than 28 teenagers died a violent death in and around the capital.
The stabbing is being investigated by the Met's Homicide and Serious Crime Command unit.
