My Story

Shane was born on Sunday February 8, 2004 at 4:05 pm. He weighed in at 7 pounds, 15 ounces and was 20 inches long. He was a happy healthy baby boy and was our sweet angel right from the beginning. On April 11, 2006 our world was torn apart when we got the horrible news our Shane had a cancerous brain tumor. He had two surgeries and numerous rounds of chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Even though he was completely drained from all the treatments he was receiving he still loved life to it's fullest. He would spend his days playing with his 2 sissy's, playing with his cars, swimming, T-ball and spending time with family. He had a smile the would light up a room and a giggle that would make anyone happy. In April of 2007 Shane's wish was granted by the Make-A-Wish foundation to meet Mickey Mouse. We were sent on the 5 day Disney cruise and Shane got to have a personal party with Mickey Mouse. On August 18, 2007 Shane had a massive seizure and was put on a breathing machine, we were told then he would not make it off the machine. Shane was one tough cookie though and amazed all the doctors when he started breathing on his own again 2 days later. At this time we were told that Shane would only have 2 weeks to 2 months because his tumor had spread all over his brain. Shane came home after 2 weeks of being in the hospital and we spend ever moment with him possible. On Thursday September 20, 2007 at 3pm Shane earned his angel wings. He went peacefully in his sleep. Shane may be gone physically but will live on in our hearts forever and he will never be forgotten because he will always be our special ^^Angel^^.
