The purpose of this imorial is to honor Terry's life as a dedicated member of the Judicial system. She spent more than 40 years serving the citizens of York County in various positions.
She began her career with the County in 1969 in the District Attorney's office. In that capacity she came in contact with many members of law enforcement, prosecutors whom she would later work with as judges, support staff, the defense bar and related departments. From 1984-1995 she worked for Attorney Dorothy Lividitis and in 1995 she accepted the position of Deputy Court Administrator where she would remain until 2012. In January of 2012, she was named Acting Court Administrator and spent her final 3 months before retirement having acheived the highest position in her field.
During Terry's time as Deputy Court Administrator, she had a special relationship with Magisterial District Justices, their office managers and support staff. She attended and successfully completed the course given by the state for Magisterial District Justices, and in doing so formed a common bond and camaraderie that would last throughout her career. Terry had a tremendous work ethic and always went above and beyond to accomplish each task. She served as leader, teacher, mentor and friend to many in the Judicial Center.
To speak of Terry, and not mention her faith would be a disservice to her and how she lived her life. Terry was a devout follower of Christ and she not only spoke about her faith, she practically lived it out every day. No one who came in contact with Terry left untouched by her humor, kindness, compassion and grace that she would tell you came directly from the God she served.
We honor her life and her memory with this tribute and invite others to share their memories of Terry.
