Terry Blotti, 44, of Duluth, passed away with his family by his side on Tuesday, March 16, 2010.
He was born in St. Johns, Mich., on May 17, 1965 to Nicholas J. and Judy L. (Hathaway) Blotti.
In his youth the family moved to Duluth where Terry attended Denfeld High School graduating in 1983. Later he attended Duluth Area Vocational and Technical College where he studied welding. Terry was a self-employed welder for many years. He owned and operated several local businesses including Fire Lite Grills and Blotti and Son's Contracting.
Terry enjoyed fishing and hunting in the Duluth area. He loved going to auctions and was a member of the Lakehead Harvester Reunion. Terry was also passionate about collecting antique machinery and Maytag motors and memorabilia. He was known to many as "The Maytag Kid." Terry will be remembered for his big heart and his unselfish willingness to help his family, neighbors, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Judy; granddaughter, Kaitlyn; grandparents, Nicholas and Dorothy Blotti and Wesley and Leota Hathaway.
Terry is survived by his fiancée, Jennifer Anderson; father, Nicholas; children, Scotty Blotti, Nicholas (Kristi) Blotti, Johnathon (Pam Carter) Blotti, Matthew Blotti all of Duluth; siblings, Kenyon (Sarah) Hathaway of St. Johns, Mich., Lynn Blotti of Duluth, and Nicole (Gary) Bauer of Poplar, Wis.; nieces, Brandi and Amanda Bauer; two grandbabies on the way as well as many other family members and friends.
