My Story

You never truly realise how much pain is in the world… Life starts in pure naiveté; we know nothing, so how can anything be wrong. Then you grow, time passes and you become aware. Events unfurl around you, you try to grasp the reason behind it all…, but it always eludes you. I cannot fathom the reason behind the events that made me who I am. All I know is the person I am is the result of a series of events, both good and bad. That is fair enough. We cannot go through life in perfect bliss because if we did we would not know it… bliss would be normal. Therefore, we must take the good with the bad. However, everything, every single good thing can be overshadowed by that one bad memory. The event of death takes place your stricken with grief, but it appears no one seems to notice. Everyone else seems fine, like nothing has happened to him or her. Then I felt a presence, a strong presence of love. The love of the person lost was filling the room and standing next to me. Suddenly the person lost was not lost at all. Everything I once new to be was now a total confusion to me. Stupid questions popped into my mind, is this real? Why do I hear you? Why can I see you, your dead are you not? How can this be? A departed son helped me realise that that is life, and there was hope for me and not all has been lost.
