My Story

Frank was born in Niagara Falls, ON; he attained his BA in English at Niagara University, N.Y., and his teaching degree at Universityof Western Ontario.  He moved to Timmins in 1967 to take a position as an English teacher at Timminns High & Vocational School.  During the 33 years  spent there, he taught English coached the Jr. Boys' Basketball team, became the ASST.  Head of English, then the head of the library.

He was married to Hedy for 30 years ; together, they had two sons and one daughter.  He was articulate and knowledgeable about sports. He was highly regarded and known as someone who always made time to respond to the needs of his students, fellow teachers,  friends, and    strangers as well ..

Through his superb command of the English language, he he was able to make the study of English exciting  for his students.  He set very high standards for both basketball players and  students alike.  He certainly affected the lives of many.

He retired in June 2000 at the age of 55 years and died in November of a heart attack.
